New Classes For The Fall

 

1.Yoga for the Full Figure taught by Niema Lightseed is a lifelong student of Yoga, Goddess Spirituality, archetypal myths and the healing and performing arts. She has taught Hatha Yoga since 2004 after being certified through the Temple of Kriya Yoga in her hometown of Chicago, and has continued her Yoga training with many teachers of Iyengar, Anusara, Astanga and Hatha traditions, including currently studying Shadow Yoga with Dr. Scott Blossom.  She has devoted years to cultivating a healthy relationship with her body, including releasing 80 pounds ten years ago through a combination of Yoga, new eating habits, and positive affirmations. Learning to accept, nurture and love her body has been a long journey, and now she is delighted to share the fruit of that labor with you.

2.Kirtan & Vedic Chanting Learn the art and practice of sanskrit chanting to invoke Spirit & Love with Diana de Pineres. Sanskrit is the oldest known language and has the vibrational power to heal. This is yoga for the voice which will create a flexible mind and purify one’s environment using traditional songs and prayer. No experience or singing ability necessary; an open heart is welcome. Join us Thursday nights fro 7:45pm-8:45pm Dropin $12

3. Vijnana Yoga  uses one’s mental awareness and attention to animate and invigorate your physical body. This class will allow you to go deeper within and from that inner knowing begin to see, feel, understand and act more skillfully both on and off the mat. Vijnana Flow is the creation of Megan Nolan who has been studying Vijnana for the last 3 years with her teacher Elizabeth Peckham. Come check out Vijnana Flow on Wed at 4:45-6:00pm for an active, challenging practice that will leave you feeling deeply relaxed yet strong and connected

3.Yogalates taught by Rachel owner and teacher has furthered her knowledge of the body through the  combining benefits of stretching and strengthening. In this class she creates a fusion between the softness that yoga brings to your balance and flexibility with  the strengthening and invigorating core conditioning of pilates.  Creating a well rounded practice in body awareness and  the benefits of  breath. See ya in class Friday from 9:00-10:15pm

4.Prenatal Yoga  NEW TIME SUNDAY AT 1:00-2:15pm taught by Beth Lyons a new mommy herself who knows first hand the benefits of yoga during pregnancy. Join us on a Sunday afternoon for a time that is souly for  you. Learn techniques that will aid in your delivery process as well as relieve any aches or pains that might arise in your journey of being a mommy. Allow yourself the time to connect with other moms and listen and learn about your  body before your baby arrives.

5.Flo with restorative taught by Neima Lightseed a teacher from Chicago brings her talents to Body alive. Her class offered on Wednesday evenings blends an active practice of hatha yoga with the healing benefits of restorative to rejuvenate the body. This class is geared to all level of students and a great way to experience a variety of styles and benefits of yoga in one. Join Neima for the summer  Wednesday 6:15pm-7:15pm to learn and grow with your body and spirit.
